我在網上見過不下數十種解釋：有人說是 Barcode、有人說是 Bill Gates、有人說是教宗…有人說是某某…
當然、就歷史和約翰所面對的處景來看、尼祿機會最大；但另一方面，若是 "六" 代表 "不完美"，那麼、"六六六" 其實可解作 "不完美、不完美、不完美"，是代表完全反抗神的力量。六六六是一個泛指，指涉所有反抗神的人或力量。
曾在建道一次講座中，聽到一位學者利用六、七及八所代表的意思來解釋六六六是邪惡勢力。不過。他演譯六六六為假三位一體...

其實聖經很早就已提醒世人、現在是末世：
哥林多前書10:11-14 他們遭遇這些事都要作為鑑戒，並且寫在經上，正是警戒我們這末世的人。所以，自己以為站得穩的，須要謹慎，免得跌倒。你們所遇見的試探，無非是人所能受的。 神是信實的，必不叫你們受試探過於所能受的；在受試探的時候，總要給你們開一條出路，叫你們能忍受得住。
10:14 我所親愛的弟兄啊，你們要逃避拜偶像的事。
約翰福音9:39 耶穌說：「我為審判到這世上來，叫不能看見的，可以看見；能看見的，反瞎了眼。」
哥林多後書4:4 此等不信之人被這世界的神弄瞎了心眼，不叫基督榮耀福音的光照著他們。基督本是 神的像。
約翰福音9:25 他說：「他是個罪人不是，我不知道；有一件事我知道，從前我是眼瞎的，如今能看見了。」
羅馬書1:16 我不以福音為恥；這福音本是 神的大能，要救一切相信的，先是猶太人，後是希臘人。
但願神的兒女在世上是「給瞎子領路的，是黑暗中人的光」(羅2:19)、是「世上的鹽」 (太5:13)
