電影《寫給上帝的信》是個充滿鼓舞、希望和救贖的故事。講述一個小男孩在他信念的旅程中，和一個尋找生命意義的中年男子交叉相遇，因而轉變了彼此的生命。這個非比尋常的八歲小男孩泰勒，有著愛他的家人與朋友，在他建立的堅強信念下，以勇氣和慈悲每天面對與癌症的戰爭。對泰勒來說上帝是個朋友、老師，更是個筆友，因為泰勒把他每天的祈禱用寫信的方式寄出去。這些信後來都到了郵差布萊迪手中。布萊迪剛好正處於困境，面對人生的交叉口。起初他覺得很困惑，而且對於要如何處置這些信感到很矛盾。但最後，他的決定卻見證了小男孩閃亮心靈及堅強信念所所散發出的寧靜力量。電影是靈感來自真實故事，溫馨動人，可以從中看到一個小男孩的信念對家人、朋友及週遭環境所能帶來的影響，同時也找到生命的光輝與勇氣！

一位老郵差休了長假，他的工作必須由另一位新手郵差”布萊迪”來接手。
布萊迪其實在工作表現上非常糟糕，上班常遲到、又常酗酒，但主管總不放棄依舊給他機會，鼓勵他好好工作。
當布萊迪接手老郵差的工作後遇上”泰勒”，泰勒是一位罹患癌症的小男孩，他雖然身受病魔纏身，但總不會灰心失望，時常保持一顆樂觀進取的心，當他有什麼需要就寫信給上帝，當他想要為誰祝福或關心誰，也寫信給上帝，上帝就像他的朋友及隨時在身旁的父親一樣。
當布萊迪被泰勒的生命感動，布萊迪的生活開始起了變化，重回到正軌；當他看了泰勒寫給上帝信中的內容之後，他決定將每封泰勒關懷對象的信都發給當事人，當這些愛與關懷的信送到每個人手中，引起一陣「寫信給上帝」的風潮，人們彼此關心、彼此祝福的信件如雪片般飛來，為社會注入一道溫暖的氣息。

這真是一部很好的電影，內容是真人真事改編，很真實描寫每個角色在生命中所遭遇的困難，但是藉由一位癌童泰勒的生命來改變了他們。
一念天堂一念地獄，當人的想法開始改變、你的感受就會開始改變，也許環境仍未改變但處境已經完全不同了，泰勒放棄怨天尤人的態度，用更樂觀進取的態度來對待這個世界，更積極去關心人愛人，藉著用寫信的方式將自己的禱告寄給上帝，並相信上帝必定會成就。
藉著這些「寫給上帝的信」果真為許多人帶來溫暖、祝福、生命的改變，儘管是泰勒處在疾病患難中依舊成為多人的祝福，因為上帝是垂聽禱告的 神，再微小的聲音上帝依然垂聽。

美國福音電影《寫給上帝的信》（Letters to God）已於11月5日全台戲院正式上映，這部由《永不放棄》（Facing the Giants）及《搶救婚姻40天》（Fireproof）製片團隊再接再勵推出的作品，四月份在美上映時，曾引起不小迴響，年底由片商引進後，也積極與台灣教會機構、團體接洽，盼共同推廣電影傳遞的溫馨信息。
由真實故事改編的影片，講述一名與癌症抗爭的小男孩泰勒（Tyler）寫信給上帝，他的信心與勇氣感動了街坊四鄰，也幫助周圍的人看到希望。片中男孩的信意外交到一名生活窘困的郵差手中，在男孩和其家人的幫助下，郵差不僅戒掉酒癮，破碎的家庭關係也重新修復。
美國《今日基督教》（Christianity Today）雜誌評論對此片愛之深也責之切，說道「該片傳遞出十分溫馨、寶貴的訊息，然而敘事技巧上有值得精進之處。」
同樣也是福音電影工作者的台灣導演劉議鴻（近期作品《我看見獸》）在《基督教論壇報》及Facebook發表觀後感，指出該片成地將勵志與福音關聯起來，是難得的佳作。他說：「這部電影講的勵志不似許多膚淺的勵志電影所講的──努力奮鬥追求成就，成為成人士、精英份子或明星。」
「恰好相反地，這部電影所講的勵志如這部電影的作者派翠克‧ 道荷帝（編劇兼共同導演）所說的：『人生在世，不應該只是在世俗價值中汲汲營營，最重要的，是對家人的照顧與愛護，以及如何在基督中獲得永生。』」
「電影裡的小小男主角用堅定的信仰去面對人生的苦難，用熱情、笑容與愛去演出上帝為他量身編寫的劇本。」劉議鴻說，「這樣的福音電影看了叫人感動。」

1 Corinthians Love
